NGA is one of only a small number of urban land trusts in the country. As a member of the American Gardening Association (ACGA), NGA serves as a resource to other cities faced with garden preservation issues. In October, 1999, NGA was one of the co-sponsors of the Annual ACGA Conference in Philadelphia. Several workshops dealt with land ownership issues around the country and were moderated by NGA staff.
This NGA web site was developed to provide information for Philadelphians and gardeners in other areas who are interested in garden preservation. Refer to the Getting Started/NGA'sTool Kit section of this website for more details.
Since 1993, NGA has been distributing its newsletter Well Preserved. It is now also available electronically as an Adobe Acrobat PDF. If you would like to receive the newsletter by e-mail or as a hard copy, contact us for more information.
